Premixing: It's Okay to Be a Little Mixed Up

Gamut Mapping: The entire group of possible colors for a painting is called a gamut. It's important to remember that good color composition not only comes from what colors you do use, but also from those that you have chosen not to use. This is very similar to and goes hand in hand with the limited color scheme principle.

Color Scripting: In sequential illustration and animation the scenes need to be in harmony as far as hue and tone are concerned, there needs to be an overruling/continuous color scheme. It might even be an evolving/changing scheme, but it should be gradual. If not, the different scenes will feel disjointed and not connected. This also has to do with color relationships and how color schemes make the audience feel.
