Sources of Light: Casting Colors

Forms of Illumination-
Direct Sunlight: Sun, Blue Sky, Reflected From Objects, harsh and distinct shadows

Overcast Light: Clouds diffuse all sunlight, makes shadows softer and closer to light tones

Window Light: similar to overcast lighting, but directed from the side usually, coming form windows and doors. has same shadow softening effects as overcast light.

Candlelight/Firelight: yellow/orange in color, fairly weak, drops off rapidly with distance. In the dark it is more noticeable.

Indoor Electric Lights: keep in mind brightness, hardness/softness, and color cast.

Streelights/Night Conditions: Moonlight, Flames, Artificial Light. Cloudy nights are darker with more edge lighting.

Luminescence: Often gradate from one hue to another, similar to firelight, but with cooler hues.

Hidden Light Sources: Generally light sources that are concealed from view. Lends to mystery and magical pieces.
